Rodney Lewis grew up on the border in Laredo, Texas.
Lewis started Lewis Petro Properties in 1983 with one natural gas well.

He owns America's biggest fleet of air-worthy World War II fighter planes, including a P-38 dug out of a Greenland glacier and restored.
