Biography
Peter Mallouk is the CEO of Creative Planning, a wealth management firm based in Overland Park, Kansas, with $700 million in assets under management or advisement.
After earning undergraduate, business and law degrees from the University of Kansas, Mallouk began working for the firm in 1998 as an estate planner.
Mallouk bought the firm for himself in 2004, when it had less than $100 million under management and a few dozen clients.
Creative Planning's growth has accelerated since acquiring a Goldman Sachs wealth management division in 2023 and $250 billion RIA SageView in 2025.
A Kansas City native, Mallouk bought a majority stake in MLS team Sporting Kansas City in 2025 and is a minority owner of the Kansas City Royals.
