Biography
Doug Ostrover is a cofounder and co-CEO of Blue Owl, an investment firm specializing in private credit with $250 billion in assets under management.
Ostrover started credit firm Owl Rock Capital in 2016. A merger with Dyal Capital as part of a SPAC deal formed Blue Owl and took it public in 2021.
Previously, Ostrover cofounded credit firm GSO Capital Partners, which Blackstone acquired for up to $945 million in cash and stock in 2008.
He stayed at Blackstone until 2015, helping GSO grow to $75 billion in assets under management by the time he left.
