Dang Yanbao is the chairman of Ningxia Baofeng Energy Group, a supplier of coal chemical products.

Another private firm, Baofeng Energy Storage, in 2022 broke ground on China's first energy storage plant covering the full supply chain in the southwestern city of Yinchuan.
